The School Library is a large, bright area on the first floor of the Crombie Building in the heart of the School. It provides resources, in a variety of media, to support the curriculum for both pupils and staff and is an attractive area for independent study. At the same time, through whole class and extra curricular activities, the Library promotes reading as a fun and leisure activity. Pupils in Forms I and II take part in the Accelerated Reader programme, supporting and engaging pupils through various quizzes, competitions, incentives and events. The Library hosts Book Fairs during the school year, providing opportunities for Pupil Librarians to help run these events and replenish the shelves. The Library is staffed by our Librarian Miss E. McAtamney. Pupils of all ages may help in the daily running of the library and this service may be used towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme or university applications. Pupils also have the opportunity to represent their form on the Library Council.
