The Football club had a difficult season last year. This came as no surprise to those involved with the team, as the majority of the previous year’s squad had left school for higher education. Therefore, the season was one where building for the following year was the main goal.
The league started poorly with a 1 – 1 draw against St. Gabriel’s and didn’t get any better with losses to Belfast High, The Boys’ Model and Grosvenor.
The Belfast Cup and NI Cup were a disappointment with two early exits against a strong RBAI team.
However, the results do not tell the whole story. Every practice was well attended with the squad keen and eager to learn and progress in the game. The games were played in good-spirit with each player showed grit and determination.
