Show Jumping

GENERAL INFORMATION

Belfast Royal Academy Show Jumping Team are the current Ulster Schools’ Open Show Jumping Champions. All the members of the team have represented the school at show jumping since joining the Academy. Training takes place once a week at Knockagh View Equestrian Centre. Due to the dedication and additional training over the past 3 years in school, this has lead to their great success in 2008/9

The team have proved they are the leading competitors in Ulster Schools’ Show Jumping competitions this year, holding off stiff competition from 30 other schools throughout Northern Ireland.

The team which helped the school win the league was chosen from a selection of 16 show jumping members. Due to the competitive attitudes and dedication shown behind closed doors, they have secured many great wins and are looking forward to another exciting season.

INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS

Catherine Moss (Form IV) was picked for the Pony Club Games Team to represent Northern Ireland at the Royal Windsor International Horse Show. Catherine is also representing the Northern Ireland Pony Club Games team at this Years Belfast International Horse Show (25th-28th October) so watch out for her at this event.  Catherine also went on to represent Northern Ireland at the European Championships in Germany.
