Pastoral Care
We aim to provide a
supportive environment in which all pupils, whatever their ability, can develop
their full potential. The pastoral care of pupils is the concern and

A central figure in the school life of a pupil is the Form Teacher.
The Form Teacher will
- get to know the pupil well
- oversee the pupils academic, social and personal development
- encourage, and offer help and advice
- be available to liaise with parents on points of concern
- promote good standards of behaviour, personal appearance and punctuality
- seek to integrate the pupil in the corporate life of the school
Parents evenings are held each year following the intern
examinations, and parents have the opportunity to discuss their childrens
progress with subject teachers.
Form Teachers welcome contact with parents at other times, and parents will find the Form Teacher an important source of continuity as a child progresses through school.

The Matron, a registered nurse, supervises the Sick Room and while her primary concern is the physical well-being of pupils, she also provides them with advice and support.
There are regular consultation evenings and every effort is made to maintain close contact with pupils parents, who should not hesitate to get in touch with the Headmaster on any matter affecting the welfare, progress or development of their children. Interviews with the Deputy Headmaster, Vice-Principals, Heads of Departments, Careers Advisors and the appropriate Form Teachers may also be readily arranged.
