OCR

Oxford Cambridge and RSA (formerly known as RSA) offers pupils an opportunity to gain additional qualifications. During the course pupils learn to touch type and as they progress they are encouraged to enter for professional qualifications as follows:

These qualifications are recognised by all employers and will add value to any degree.  They are recognised by the universities and may be taken into consideration for some university applications: for example, Level 1 is worth 10 additional UCAS points whilst Level 2 is worth 20 additional UCAS points.  Apart from training young people to be more proficient at university in presenting assignments and dissertations, OCR qualifications are also accepted by recruitment agencies for temporary and full-time employment.   
 
In addition, they can also be used towards the Skills Section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
