THE GCSE EXAMINATIONS
96% of the pupils achieved A* to C in 5 or more subjects.

 

90% of the pupils achieved A* to C in 7 or more subjects.

 

Fifty nine pupils (28% of the Form) gained 7As or better.

Ten pupils gained 9 passes at A* or A.

 

Eleven pupils gained 8 passes at A* or A.

 

Out of 2033 subject entries 90% were passed at grades A* to C and 69% were passed at grades A* to B.

 

 

THE ADVANCED SUBSIDIARY EXAMINATIONS

55% of the pupils achieved a minimum of 3Cs or better.

 

In 10 subject areas there was a 100% pass rate.

 

Of all subject entries (741), the pass rate was 94%.

 

Of the 741 subject entries, 52% were passed at grades A or B and 71% were passed at grades A to C.

 

Twenty three pupils gained 4 grade A passes (Mark Bailie, Christopher Bailie, Lauren Beck, Gopala Bhat, Lauren Browne, Douglas Burke, Eve Cobain, David Cummings, Sheila Farnan, Caroline Gordon, Victoria Green, Daniel Linden, Andrew Martin, Paul Martin, Sinead McCourt, Michael McMahon, Donal O’Hara, Conor O’Neill, Clare Shute, Jennifer Spence, Robert Stitt, Richard Wilkinson, Michael Wilson). (21 last year)

 

Eighteen pupils gained at least 3 grade A passes.

 

26% of the pupils gained at least 2 grade A passes or better.

 

84% of the pupils gained 3 passes.

 

94% of the pupils gained 2 passes.

 

 

THE ADVANCED LEVEL EXAMINATIONS

67% of the pupils gained 3Cs.

 

Out of 565 subject entries, 60% were passed at grades A or B and 83% were passed at grades A, B or C.

 

80% of our pupils received the equivalent of 3Cs or better (e.g. passes such as A B D).

 

95% of the pupils gained at least 3 passes, 99% gained at least 2 passes.

 

Out of 565 subjects, 13 were failed.

 

In 18 subject areas, there was a 100% pass rate.

 

Dean Montgomery gained 5 grade A passes.

 

Seven pupils gained 4 grade A passes.
