Cricket

The cricket season produced some very good performances.  David Spence represented Ulster Schools and Stephen Bunting took four wickets in four balls against Grosvenor.  The 1st XI had a successful tour of Dublin, drawing two of their games against strong opposition.  The 1st XI reached the semi-final of the Schools’ Plate Competition and was narrowly defeated by Strabane Grammar.  There were fifties for Jeff Henry, Stephen Bunting and David Spence during the season.  The 2nd XI was defeated in the semi-final of the plate by Bangor Grammar.

The school could have produced a third XI but many schools once again could not produce a 2nd XI.  There are some promising cricketers throughout the school and this will hopefully bear fruit in the future.
